Hello RAIDER NATION,

          My name is Travis Combs and I am the proud Principal of Sheridan Elementary School. I was born and raised in Bandera Texas but have since planted my roots in Sheridan where I have lived for 12 years now. I graduated from The University of Texas San Antonio (UTSA) with my bachelors and from Lamar University with my Masters.

         I have spent my entire education life in Rice CISD and have been a teacher at ELI, Sheridan, Rice JH, and Rice HS. I have coached since I have been an employee of Rice and am the proud coach of the Girls Powerlifting Program. Swamp Strength is the mentality that we run with.

         I am married (June, 2014) to Andrea Combs, who is the Counselor at the Junior High and have two kids, Kinslee (10) and Kannon (8). In my free time, I like to hunt, fish, cook, and camp. I am an easy going person and love the outdoors as long as it is far from sand.

         I look forward to instilling Raider Pride into the Youth and setting students up for success. If there is anything I can assist you with, please let me know. It is going to be a GREAT year at Sheridan Elementary.
